Dale became a Hot Air Balloon Pilot in 1974 and then ran his own full time Balloon Business in Calgary until 1984.  During that time Dale had the privilege of winning the first Canadian National Hot Air Balloon Championship in 1979, and then co-piloting the first balloon over the North Pole in 1980.

Dale became a Christian in 1978, after the birth of their first son in 1977.  Diane also became a Christian in that same year.

Dale then became a youth worker at St. James Anglican Church in Calgary in 1979, which eventually became a part time position.  In the midst of all of this he developed a “Divine dissatisfaction” desiring to do more for the Lord.  Eventually the Lord led him to seek ordination in the Anglican church and in 1984 he and Diane pack up their family and headed to Ambridge Pennsylvania, where Dale spent three years attaining his Master of Divinity at Trinity Episcopal School for Ministry.  They then returned to Alberta where they were unanimously called to St. Theodore’s church in Taber, where they ministered for 15 years.  Dale currently ministers around the country and at home in Taber with the Rock.  Dale and Diane have five children: Jeff (33) married with four children, Mark (30),  Jason (shot and killed at his school in 1999 at age 17),  Matthew (26)  and Jennifer (18).

Since the death of Jason both Dale and Diane have been asked to speak at events across the country.  Dale has spoken in over 500 Junior &senior high schools, numerous conferences,  teachers conventions, the National Prayer Breakfast, churches and numerous other functions.  The Langs continue to live in Taber Alberta, speaking across Canada.  Dale also produced a weekly half hour television program which appears on Satellite on The Miracle Channel in 2007- 2008.

Dale and Diane currently own and run a small company out of Lethbridge Alberta called Sushi Moda Inc.
