In 1984, twelve years after his winning goal in the memorable Canada-Russia Summit Series, hockey legend Paul Henderson was the speaker at the first Oakville Prayer Breakfast, sharing his faith journey with a riveted audience. A recipient of The Order of Canada, the Order of Hockey in Canada, and the Diamond Jubilee Medal, among innumerable honours, Paul continues to help and inspire others.

Paul and his wife Eleanor, his high school sweetheart, have three married daughters and seven grandchildren. Paul’s battle with cancer is a living testimony to how we can live life fully regardless of our circumstances.

As a motivational speaker, Paul has addressed many of Canada’s major corporations. He and Eleanor speak at marriage conferences, and are beloved and well-respected speakers in the Christian community.
