Our committee is a team of volunteers who assist with the planning and execution of each year’s prayer breakfast. Karen Dysart
…is a CPA,CA with a professional career focused on bringing sound financial skills to charities through the company she founded CHARITYacCOUNTS! Inc. She is the proud mother of three and grandmother of eight and a long-time member of St. Dominic Parish in Bronte.
She joined the Oakville Prayer Breakfast Committee in 2016 and has been attending the breakfast since 1995. “ I am often touched and inspired by a person witnessing to the impact of Christ in their lives, especially when they have been challenged to their core. It is a wonderful way for me to start my Advent reflections.”
Don Levy
…has been in the financial services industry for over 26 years. Don has developed a practice specializing in portfolio construction, management, retirement planning, estate planning, and charitable tax planning. The practice is based on strong long-term relationships with clients. Don is passionate about giving back to the community through philanthropic endeavors in the areas of food insecurity, education, and youth mentorship. He has previously served as a board member for Joesph Brand Memorial Hospital Finance Committee and the United Way of Oakville. He supports the Oakville Prayer Breakfast as it represents a time when the community can come together for fellowship, worship and thanksgiving. Don resides in Oakville with his wife. His interest outside of work include travel – having travelled to over 45 countries.
Deborah Othello
…is an active and enthusiastic supporter of the Oakville Christian community and has enjoyed the Oakville Prayer Breakfast since 2017. She is a valued member of the CHARITYacCOUNTS! Inc. team where she lends her management and accounting expertise to the non-profit and charitable sectors. Deborah currently attends Hope Bible Church Oakville. She has been part of the planning team of the Oakville Prayer Breakfast for the past year.
Tony O’Dell
…has spent a career in the Medical Device sales within the Healthcare sector. He is an active member of Chartwell Church in Oakville. This is his first year on the organizing committee and is committed to the power of prayer to glorify God and draw the community together.
Sharon Van Beilen
…has spent 18 years as the Rental Coordinator & Administrative Assistant at King’s Christian Collegiate.
She is an active member, pastoral care elder and worship leader at Clearview Christian Reformed Church.
Going into her 8th year on the Oakville Prayer Breakfast committee, she appreciates the freedom we have to gather at the breakfast and celebrate Christian faith, praying for our leaders across our town, province and nation. She loves the impact that an ordinary person can have in sharing their faith journey and how others are challenged to consider following Christ in a deeper way.
Florian Meyer
…is a CA CPA acting as an Interim CFO or Board Member for Owner Managed Businesses for the past 25 years. He is member of Glen Abbey United Church and through the Oakville Prayer Breakfast annual event has been focused on linking more people through fellowship to Jesus Christ.
